Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, June, 18 2010 - Two microfinance organizations of Kyrgyzstan, MFC “Bai-Tushum & Partners”, “Mol Bulak Finance” and a law firm “Kalikova & Associates” agreed to establish a non-profit “Revival Foundation” which will be serving the Southern regions of Kyrgyzstan with financial aid and interest free loans to those who suffered from the recent events in the country.

These two microfinance organizations will make first contribution to the Revival Foundation by providing interest free financing. The staff of these organizations will jointly administer financial aid and interest free medium and long-term loans to the vulnerable population. But additional funding will be needed.

Note: Within three days, over thousand people were killed and wounded, hundreds of homes, cafes, restaurants, small and micro businesses, offices are burned down completely, over hundred thousand people became homeless, several thousands of people lost jobs and their  sources of income. In Osh and Jalalabad, social objects like schools, kindergartens, colleges and universities, along with other government institutions were burned down. This is a big tragedy and catastrophe.
